I made a delicious Pumpkin and Shitake Risotto which my husband surprising raved about- he was getting pumpkined out from my huge crop of pumpkins this year, but he said that he'd have this again and again!


The other recipe I used the saffron in was Cornish Saffron Cake. I shared this with friends who are saffron lovers and they pronounced the saffron flavour wonderful and cake absolutely delicious!


Not having tried saffron before I enjoyed the flavour and how it gave these dishes depth. Also the gorgeous colour!
